Sharpen mind, purify intellect, restore soul

Do not blindly continue to nurse wishful thinking, unexamined thought processes, or unrecognized presumptions that facts or real-life events do not confirm.

If facts or real-life events disprove or contradict your wishful thinking, unexamined thought processes or unrecognized presumptions, learn to be objective / unprejudiced. Allow facts and reality to reshape, update, amend or correct your thinking, and the way you perceive and interpret things, people, their actions, and the assumed motives behind such actions.

For example, if you irrationally assume we, the ordinary people, and the world, are in good hands, and that those who govern our lives and shape our future are efficient, talented, competent, sincere, trustworthy people / authorities who really care for us, that they have back-up plans ready to protect us in any eventuality, that they prepare in advance proactively with foresight … then examine facts, events. Do facts and events corroborate your assumptions and presumptions?

Systems, processes, institutions that were estabished several decades or centuries back were to be used for just a few following decades. But, their use continues to this day. Such systems and institutions, including laws and Constitutions, have not been updated or upgraded properly on a regular basis.

Such systems and institutions are obsolete, have been subverted, corrupted beyond recognition, but continue to govern / cripple our lives (check the links below).

Any repairs, updates, maintenance or upgrades are tardy, corruption-ridden, substandard.

Any replacements are worse.

Talk of authoritarian or totalitarian systems, and regimes of billionaire techno-feudals / MNCs of the 21st century. They are worse than post-apocalyptic dystopian systems.

That apart, do you underestimate the enormous negative-power and horrible consequences of ordinary people's stupidity, selfishness, intransigence, recalcitrance, arrogance and inflexibility of mind? Don’t you think there's an urgent need to outgrow prejudice and "confirmation bias"?

In a globalized world shaped by hyper economic globalization, whose benefits you may have reaped already, it is essential that you (the middle-class person) act like a "global citizen" with a "global outlook". For, the adverse effects of the same globalization process can also reduce you to "collateral damage" suddenly one day. The trade-offs made already for hyper economic globalization have rendered millions (possibly billions) of people as "collateral damage" already. Your turn could be next, if you have been fortunate enough to escape such plight so far. Beware!

Hence, we recommend that you develop a Big Picture overview, and be generally aware of what's going on, get a sense of the kind of world we (as passive, powerless participants) have allowed others to create for us, and the implications thereof for us and our children.

Rest assured, we don't mean you should become a news junkie and track and monitor all news, views, analyses, forecasts, theories and events 24/7.

But, you should NOT be 100-percent self-absorbed, self-indulgent, self-centric and selfish all the time either to such an extent that you begin to believe all that matters is the survival of yourself and your family, your job, your career, your future, and that the Universe and others owe it to you.

You need the world and others to survive and thrive. The world and others also need you. It's all interconnected, interdependent. We believe selfishness should be tempered or balanced with selflessness. Do you agree?

Selfishness not neutralized by selflessness will likely end up violating Cosmic Laws, and Nature may feel compelled to bring you to Cosmic Justice.

So, cultivate the abilities to grasp subtle points and read between the lines – discern what is unsaid or implied without being stated explicitly. Let your "inner eye" 'see' the underlying Big Themes, which contain lessons that are relevant and applicable to your life at a very personal level. Connect the dots. Intuit the truth about this globalized world.

The content on this website is pretty exhaustive and comprehensive. Make good use of it, if you wish to evolve into an empowered "global citizen" and a responsbile parent with sharpened mind, healthy heart, purified intellect, functioning conscience, opened "inner eye", and restored soul.

Are we in good hands?

The 2001 attacks of 9/11, the 2008-09 Global Financial Crisis, the 2020 pandemic, various terror attacks, nuclear plant disasters, outbreak of anarchies and their violent suppressions, genocides, wars, annexation of territories, famines, reinforced poverty, climate meltdown, environmental degradation.... What do they prove?

Don't these tragedies, catastrophes, disasters, genocides, wars, pandemics, etc, prove that the old systems, processes, procedures still in operation were actually made for another day, another age of the past, and that they have become outdated, obsolete, that they are crumbling, collapsing, because they have not been ADEQUATELY and COMMENSURATELY maintained, updated, upgraded constantly, to be in tune with the needs of the day?

Yet, we, the ordinary people, pose our trust in such dysfunctional systems and institutions, and in the incompetent, apathetic or wantonly indifferent people operating such systems from behind the scenes. Why?

A lot has been made about iconic billionaires' advance warnings over several years about the possible breakout of a lethal global pandemic. Yet, international / multilateral institutions or organizations did not develop or establish a solid protocol and systemic processes (for, say, vaccine production and distribution) to deal with a global pandemic. Why?

Even now (as of April 2021), there is chaos, misinformation, disinformation, clampdown on information flows, and confusion. Why?

How come iconic figures invested in vaccine startups years before the pandemic actually broke out? Just a coincidence, huh?

Similarly, 9/11 (of 2001), it now transpires, was like "Chronicle of a Death Foretold" in the years before it actually happened. Warning signs were there all along. But it was not prevented. Why?

Passenger aircraft disappear without a trace. No one knows why even after several years. Radar, satellites, etc, are of no avail. Mysteries endure. Why?

The Suez Canal blockage in March 2021 and the maritime trade crisis it sparked won't be the last instance to conclusively prove that age-old systems are over-relied upon, putting the entire world in harm's way.

But, we, the ordinary people, are constantly led to believe that we are in good hands, that our rulers are super-efficient, super-powerful, super-vigilant, armed not only with extreme foresight but also with latest ultra-modern / cutting-edge / new-frontier high-tech systems and hardware that can enhance the quality, stability and security of life and protect humankind from even cosmic rays, alien attacks, asteroid crashes and lethal natural forces on terra firma.

If you still need clinching evidence, go look up the patterns in investments of institutional investors, private equity firms, venture capitalists and their tribe in the last 20-30 years.

What is the source of their enormous wealth? Who are the individuals / groups behind these investment entities? What are the fields and ventures receiving enormous investments of capital even as billions of people die of, or suffer due to, avoidable pandemics, wars, genocides, endemic diseases, poverty, famine, joblessness, poor healthcare, economic inequality, socioeconomic discrimination, etc, all of which should NOT actually be existing at all in the 21st century?

Why is there such an unholy nexus between capital / capitalists of all kinds and sci-tech businesses (including weapon-makers and military suppliers) that undermines, disempowers and dehumanizes ordinary people everywhere?

We are not in good hands. And, in the wake of COVID-19, this fact has enormous implications for us and our children's future.

Wake up! Your days are numbered.

True and total empowerment

Most of the world’s middle- and lower-income people live their entire lives in ignorance, caught in some sort of zombie-like trance, running the “rat race” while wakeful (as opposed to dream-state or deep sleep), but without ever being conscious (which is not the same as being wakeful).

NRI-Natter attempts to rip apart that straitjacket, free the minds of ordinary people, and make them FULLY conscious, so they could realize their full potential. The ruling elites – politicians, businesspeople, sci-tech ‘experts’, religious leaders, pseudo-spiritualists, manipulative media, fake activists – seek to keep you ignorant so they could exploit you and control you through induced fear, greed, anger or false pride (ego).

The elites’ goal is to trick non-elites into becoming agents of the status quo and strengthen the elites unwittingly, which will ultimately disempower and destroy ordinary people. The real enemy is within

Okay, here's the world's worst-kept but most ignored secret. Revealed!

Exposed, to dispel ignorance, apathy, laziness and heedlessness from the vast majority of the humanity, who are not even aware even in 2022 that their days are now numbered, unless they wake up, intervene and do something about it.

The world's elites -- the creme de le creme: the multibillionaires, the knowledgeable, the powerful, the influential, the famous and the celebrated -- have united, rising above religion, nationality, race, civilization, gender, profession, ideology, geography, age-group, etc.

The minority elites have united nicely, quietly, secretly, by dividing, degrading, devaluing, dehumanizing and disempowering the others (the majority non-elites: the middle-income group, the salaried class, the lower-income group, the poor and those below the poverty line).

The world's elites have successfully zombified the non-elites globally by exploiting and perpetuating the latter group's ignorance, arrogance, false ego (wrong identifications with this or that label or self-image), laziness, apathy, selfishness, self-centredness, mediocrity, greed, lust and the rest of such attributes in that spectrum.

The majority non-elites constitute nearly 95-98% of the world's population. The minority elites constitute just 2-5% of the total population. Yet, the knowledge gap, the wealth gap, the health gap, the opportunity gap and the power gap that separate the two groups are unimaginably wide, and have been growing wider unceasingly, exponentially, over the last several centuries (not just decades).

Finance (capital), knowledge (science and technology), and power (political, administrative and religious authority figures and institutions) are the tools or means that the united global elites use to divide and rule the non-elites worldwide.

Yet, the biggest enemies of the majority are NOT the elites!

The biggest enemies are NOT natural disasters, bad luck, economic cycles, weather and climate, diseases, wildlife, famines, droughts, or political upheavals.

The biggest enemies are NOT the clinical villains like psychos, sadists, adulterers, philanderers, rapists, killers, mercenaries and other assorted criminals, lunatics and zealots.

The biggest enemies of the majority non-elites (ordinary people) are just a section of people among themselves -- the pseudo-elites, the aspiring elites, full of greed, lust, appalling apathy, desires of the material realm, laziness, mediocrity, selfishness, self-centredness, small-mindedness, insular mindset and hence prone to all kinds of corruption.

It is the UNETHICAL, UNSCRUPULOUS, SHAMELESS and CONSCIENCE-LESS section among the ordinary people who side with the elites, and act like secret agents of the elites, who are the BIGGEST ENEMIES of mankind now.

So also are those appalingly apathetic, selfish, ignorant, lazy, small-minded, mediocre and greedy lot among the non-elites who do not proactively support peers who are intent on resisting, challenging and overcoming the evil elites. It is the "wrong ones", the status-quoists, the passive onlookers among the non-elites who help perpetuate evil. THEY ARE THE BIGGEST ENEMIES of India, mankind and of our planet.

Then, how to defeat the biggest enemies? The short and simple answer is: YOU DON'T.

Instead, you give them all an opportunity to transform themselves and become positive forces for change for the better, by lovingly encouraging them to pause, breathe, review, reflect and introspect.

You can't defeat the elites either. They are too powerful in every sense of the word. But through unity, cooperation and coordinated and collaborative action, we, the ordinary people, can certainly disempower the elites, by depriving them of that which empowers them in the first place.

When we join forces by overcoming the factors that make us ignorant, divided, disunited, selfish, self-centric, lazy, egotistical, intolerant, arrogant, apathetic, greedy, insecure or mediocre, the biggest enemies will have no other option but to join us.

We at NRI-Natter have figured it all out, and have a long-term vision as well as a well-thought-out strategy (action plan). All of us can truly change the ancient "game" once and for all this time.

To sum it up, this is what we, the non-elites (ordinary citizens), need to do: review, reflect, introspect.

Amid the gloom-and-doom scenarios created by dystopian regimes and digital dictatorships on the one hand and the COVID-19 pandemic's impact on economies on the other, there are still many reasons for ordinary people to remain hopeful of a better future.

This should help dispel doubts among certain people who feel it's all going to be futile anyway, that nothing is ever going to change for the better, that our fate is sealed already, that there is absolutely no point in protesting, standing up for the right cause and becoming activists or "revolutionaries".

Such people are a disgrace to humanity because they prefer to take the easy way out without even trying, without even making a sincere and courageous effort. Such spineless, selfish and self-centric people embrace copout right at the outset; they throw in the towel even without facing the enemy.

To sum it up, this is what we, the non-elites (ordinary citizens), need to do: review, reflect and introspect. Overcome fear, insecurity, timidity, ignorance, selfishness, self-centredness, greed, indifference, apathy.

All we need to do now is just cast these maladies off, dump them like hot potatoes, and embrace their opposites. That's all.

Panacea for all of humankind's problems

We must become consciously aware of our innate tendency to overlook blatant, brazen fundamental contradictions in our lives and our propensity to develop comfort with, and explain away, so-called gray areas. We pay lip service to lofty ideals, concepts and visions; we follow principles, regulations, rules and laws, including timeless cosmic laws, only in letter and shamelessly and recklessly violate their spirit.

Example: we extol concepts like "democracy", but consciencelessly accept and perpetuate anachronistic institutions that are hotbeds of royals, aristocrats, nobels, dynasties, feudal lords, nepotistic networks, cliques of patronage -- even in the 21st century! That's just one glaring instance.

Our lives are full of such shocking contradictions!

Here's THE secret. Dear middle-class/lower-class citizens (ordinary non-elite people), read this carefully, with full attention. This time round, no God, no Avatar-purush or Messiah, no personage, no saint, saviour or Mahatma is going to appear suddenly to rescue you and save your ass.

Your "God", if you will, can be found ONLY in true inner humility (not in external fake politeness, ego, arrogance, or insincere interpersonal 'techniques') and in unity, cooperation with peers, and coordinated and collaborative action.

The following negative-spectrum traits will weaken you and your children/future generations, while empowering the elites (our common enemies): Selfishness, self-centric lifestyle, narrowmindedness, appalling apathy for community and the world, ignorance, greed, timidity, fear, anti-intellectualism, intolerance, hypocrisy, double-standards, hyper-individualism, short attention span, inability or unwillingness to listen to and understand peers, obstinacy, uncooperative streak, recalcitrance, closed-mindedness, prejudice, presumptuousness, reluctance or inability to pause-breathe-review-reflect-and introspect (on life, experiences and outcomes of choices so far), reckless continued participation in the rat race that blinds the mind to imminent danger, and mindless pursuit of material comforts, conveniences, pleasures, hierarchical positions and assets. Yes, all these will weaken/disempower you (and your children/future generations), and further empower the elites (our enemies).

You will never be allowed to become part of the real elites. If you continue to do what you had done all your life so far, you'll end up running the endless, futile rat race of the pseudo-elites, pretenders, upstarts and imposters on the treadmill.

A.I., big data, machine learning, biotech, digitalization, quantum computing, Big Pharma and Big Finance have already begun the countdown for your extinction. They will ensure you'll remain mediocre and a corrupted enabler/facilitator of evil forces in this world, which will make you and your children redundant and expendable very soon, in your own lifetime. You'll likely get eliminated.

So, wake up. Get a reality check. EITHER proactively unite with peers and pursue excellence OR risk becoming eliminated toward extinction due to your own passivity, selfishness, ego and apathy.

We, the majority non-elites (ordinary citizens and the biggest beneficiaries of globalization), must quickly outgrow our sense of entitlement, our tendency to take comforts and pleasures for granted, and our penchant for crass consumerism and crass materialism.

We must consciously make efforts to overcome the induced malady of the vulgar and obscene tendency to regard community, society, culture and the environment as mere means to satisfy our greedy, personal, selfish and self-centric desires and passions, that too in a one-way-street kind of manner. Instead, we must embrace a give-and-take, symbiotic, reciprocation-oriented and moderation-based approach in our engagement with community, society and the planet.

We must also overcome our narrowmindedness, or the tendency to ignore, or be indifferent to, proven principles like interconnectedness and inter-dependence. In the age of globalization, we can't turn a blind eye to the fact that we may be the cause of other people's misery, and that others may be suffering because of our choices, indifference and addiction to comforts, pleasures and selfish pursuits.

Understand this concept: If a person is able to consume goods, services and technologies worth, say, 100 rupees in his/her lifetime, but it takes the world 150 rupees to produce them all, while the real social and economic value of such a person's contributions to society and mankind's progress throughout his/her lifetime is estimated (or perceived) to be, say, just 20 rupees, then such a person will likely be deemed by the GDP- and profit-/bottom line-minded systems as useless, worthless or liability, not an asset.

Such people will be considered by the elites as dregs of society, or parasites or vampires that need to be eliminated, exterminated or made extinct, especially when machines can make better, or more valuable, contributions at a lower cost.

So, dear ordinary middle-class citizen (salaried employee, professional, worker, scholar, home-maker or small-time merchant/trader), your choice then will boil down to EITHER becoming a true asset OR reviewing, questioning, challenging, resisting and changing the flawed, inhuman, heartless and ruthless system that you find yourself in now ---- something you have helped perpetuate and strengthen, wittingly or unwittingly, and which is about to swallow you up whole shortly. Beware!

Otherwise, the elites, using evolving technologies like A.I., big data, machine learning, etc, will make all of us, the non-elites, even more irrelevant, insignificant, obsolete and redundant; we will all be made expendable or dispensable; we will likely be subjected to radical measures like scientific, legal withdrawal of freedom to reproduce indiscriminately via the conventional sexual procreation, a process of "natural selection" that is now believed to be unscientific, irrational, unsustainable, untenable, unnecessary and optional, a point touched upon in this sensational, controversial essay.

Unity among citizens is essential

Why is unity among ordinary people more important now than ever before?

Mainly for one simple reason: without unity, ordinary people will become extinct soon in the current dystopian era of digital dictatorships and totalitarianism.

You deal with outsized/super-large (relative to an individual) institutions like religion, government, bureaucracy, company, employer, bank, service provider, manufacturer, technology supplier, content publisher, and so forth.

Examples: one government, millions of citizens; one company, millions of consumers; one employer, millions/thousands/hundreds of employees; one technology provider, millions of users; one publisher, millions of readers/viewers.

Ask yourself: In which role -- individual voter, individual citizen, individual employee, individual consumer, individual user, and individual passenger -- do you have significance, power, influence, respect, attention and negotiating leverage vis-a-vis institutions?

You know the answer: None!

No one has ever consulted you but you have been conned, tricked or forced into consuming, accepting or using arbitrarily determined products, services, technologies or content, most of which disempower, degrade, devalue or defraud you and destroy the planet, more often than not.

But if you unite and cooperate with your peers (ordinary non-elite citizens who constitute the majority in any society), your collective strength can lead to collaborative action that can give you total control over what kind of products, services, technologies or content are pursued, produced and published in society.

So, unite. Else, as an individual you'll get further disempowered, zombified and very soon eliminated.

Overcome the disease of 'attachment' to hyper-individualism (false ego), mediocrity, materialism, sense of entitlement, taking 'good life' for granted, appalling apathy for community and the planet, and inherent contradictions (double standards/hypocrisy).

Know the enemy first to foresee the future now

Here's a speculative but plausible theory. Call it "HOW TO RECOGNIZE THE WORLD'S BIGGEST FRAUD PERPETRATED ON HUMANITY BY 'MAINSTREAM' EVIL", if you will.

Evil people, it is believed, actually reveal their secrets, or modus operandi, openly, but in a way that makes their 'disclosures' seem far-fetched, like lunatics' conspiracy theories.

When Truth is thus neurally designed to create cognitive dissonance in the brains/minds of the unsuspecting, zombified "masses", the latter would find it almost impossible to distinguish the thin, subtle difference that separates Truth and baseless conspiracy theories.

And that is their idea, the smart, grand plan of the sophisticated, shrewd elites, the agents of so-called "Satan" or "Devil" (for lack of better words) -- to disempower, fool and cheat masses to such an extent that they become blind or indifferent to not only Truth but also truth-tellers. Such disclosures, including about future plans, past sins and current control tactics, come in the form of sci-fi (books, comics, movies), in-depth concept 'papers', or the latest discourse from freshly minted intellectual giants or gurus (evil elites' agents in disguise, who pretend to be diehard champions of the cause of the masses but hoodwink the latter by misusing their popularity or icon status). But such motivated intellectuals or fake gurus with hidden agendas can be recognized by their allegiances, secret sponsors, patrons, 'lineage', origins, elitist alma mater and/or former employers or associations with the corporate world or political parties or cults.

Typically, such charlatans and sophisticated cons have a strange, different, odd or distinctive physical appearance [check their hairstyle, beard, face (especially shape of nose), looks, eyes, clothes, accessories, accent, speaking style or voice tone, mannerisms]. Also, observe 'those' tell-tale surnames of such people. Instantly, you can figure out which class/race/caste/'constituency' they truly represent and belong to.

Typically, such gurus also boast a sudden turning point at a crossroads-like life-situation in the past --- a rude 'awakening', a born-again, utterly transformational, alchemy-like moment or juncture, or a "tipping point" in life. Or, their "record" (CV/resume) has details like giving up or sacrificing one easy/comfortable path to pursue stiffer, more difficult challenges or to answer a higher "calling".

When ordinary people come under the 'magic' spell of such 'enlightened souls', and their minds become either sceptical because of vague familiarity or indifferent due to exposure to manufactured content, the evil elites then implement their evil plans in a form/format that is just a mild and agreeable variant of their 'disclosures' already made through sci-fi books, movies, TV/web serials, etc.

But, the basic template remains the same. The mild variant's lethal effects, which are worse than those shown or described in sci-fi content, manifest gradually in the long term, thus disempowering, degrading and defrauding ordinary people (mass-level 'consumers' of content, products, services and technologies), and hollowing out 'market societies' inside out.

However, the gullible, unsuspecting people (masses who are practically asses because they have been zombified) are led to believe the implementation of evil plans signifies development, progress, modernity, fashion, trend, fad, "in-thing", etc.

So, might it be worth your while to re-visit so-called sci-fi works of the past (books, movies, etc),'visionary' papers, the then intellectual discourse and pseudo-spiritual sermons, preaching, etc, to see if our theory pans out? Just a little bit of 'reverse engineering', or some deconstruction of the past, will be enough.

Similarly, you can 'know'/'see' the future by analyzing today's sci-fi books/content, concept papers (of the research institute or think tank kind), and slickly produced intellectual discourse ("talks", lectures, books, podcasts, or speeches to forums, conventions, summits, webinars, etc).

If our (admittedly speculative but entirely plausible) theory sounds a bit far-fetched to you, think again. Connect the big dots (9/11 of 2001, 2008-09 Global Financial Crisis, 2020-22~ pandemic) that have several smaller dots in between them (various 'progressively lethal' "outbreaks").

You will then see a pattern of billions of ordinary people across the world being intellectually emasculated, individually disempowered and financially weakened, cheated or depreciated in a variety of ways, inducing through use of fear, anxiety and insecurity on the one hand and greed, indifference, helplessness, laziness, inertia, timidity, selfishness, cluelessness, confusion and preference for the status quo on the other, with addictive technology, mind-numbing content and crass consumerism as the means.

As an ordinary citizen in the middle or lower rungs, or as an individual constituent member of super-large systems like community, society, culture, country, nation, religion, etc, you have to quickly realize that the knowledge gap, the authority gap, the privilege gap and the wealth gap between ordinary people and the elites (who control the levers of power) have widened to the extreme limit.

When such gaps reach extreme proportions, there will likely be turmoil, upheavals, game-changing events. Forces from either side will come to loggerheads, things will heat up and reach a flashpoint or showdown. History is replete with revolutions. But this time, it's going to be different, because a bigger cycle of smaller cycles of the last 70,000 years is reaching its end.

Those with the "upper hand" in power, wealth and knowledge can easily do whatever they please, brazenly and blatantly at that, because of the extreme "gaps". If you are not with (or on the side of) the elites, or if you are a commoner, an ordinary individual, even if you are rich and famous, you won't stand a chance. The elites are already ahead in terms of foreseeing and preempting resistance, obstacles or opposition to their evil plans.

Look at Novak Djokovic's woes in the context of COVID vaccination. Look at the plight of striking truckers in Canada and the United States. Look at the pitiable state of ordinary folk in poor or under-developed countries or those that have been witnessing unrest, conflicts, wars, droughts, famines, or disasters.

You as an individual can be repressed, disempowered, intellectually zombified, degraded, deceived, dishonoured, depreciated, displaced and even eliminated by the elites in a variety of sophisticated or even primitive or violent ways -- and, in the current / prevailing scenario, there is nothing you could do to save, protect, safeguard or defend yourself, as long as you function as an island-like individual fending for yourself and your nuclear family while being utterly dependent on the larger ecosystem for your survival.

You could say evil proactively draws inspiration from sci-fi and 'visionary' concepts. Or, evil inspires the "dark arts" of sci-fi, papers, 'research' and so-called visionary works, to work its black 'magic' on earth. Or, evil's vehicles/agents could well be sci-fi, papers, research findings and visionary works.

It's not just sci-fi. Even the so-called 'self-help', "mystical" or motivational discourse ---- super-popular, chart-busting or bestselling books, short films, documentaries, full-length movies, videos, shorts, interviews, talks, lectures (and even music/lyrics/poetry) . . . ---- puts a positive spin on what are essentially evil-minded, unconscionable strategies, plans, tactics, technologies, products, services, content or trends. They present futuristic visions of things that are being planned or rolled out/implemented and whose effects will manifest in the near, medium or long term. Typically, such topsy-turvy visions depict the coming effects, outcomes or consequences in a rosy-positive way; when the effects do materialize or fructify, however, they turn out to be quite the opposite (dark-negative). But, by then, it would be too late to nullify, negate or overcome them -- you simply can't turn the clock back.

Here's an example. Discourse: "AI, data centers, hyper clouds, robotics, automation, transhumanism . . . are good. They will free up humanity from drudgery and create time for meaningful higher pursuits." Reality: joblessness, zero incomes, further disempowerment, zombification, extreme authoritarian-totalitarian regimes or even worse (mass extermination via designer pandemics spread by lab-manufactured viruses that precision-target certain chosen DNA/RNA, genocides, pogroms, high-handed and ruthless oppression or killing of common people by police, special troops, etc). Got it? Or, are you still confused and clueless?

Calm your mind down. Close your eyes. Take a few deep breaths. Just observe with your inner mind only your breath -- air entering your lungs/body through your nostrils, and the same air leaving your lungs/body. Just observe this in-out process with your calm, quiet inner mind. Do nothing else. Just observe the in-out-in-out-in-out rhythm of breath. Do not control or try to regulate the rhythm. Do not get judgemental or subjective about the rhythm (good, bad, slow, fast, etc). Do not think, perform any mental acrobatics nor any intellectual calculations. Just relax and simply, effortlessly, joyfully observe the rhythm of your breath. Do this objectively and dispassionately, and in a stress-free, pressure-free, almost carefree way.

After you do that for at least 2-10 minutes nonstop, read this article from the beginning again. You will then 'know' our "theory". You will "get it". :)

Rapes, murders and the lessons therein

Aug 23, 2024: The Supreme Court of India on Sunday (Aug 18, 2024) took suo motu cognisance of the rape and murder of a young doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Calcutta and decided to examine the issue.

A source close to the Chief Justice of India said this was perhaps the first time the top court had taken suo motu cognisance of a crime committed against an individual.

At the outset, we, the global NRI-Natter community, condemn the horrific Calcutta gender crime and the subsequent vandalism, and express solidarity with those affected and those protesting, fighting for and demanding justice. Since the case per se appears to be sub judice now, in the realm of law enforcement and crime investigating agencies as well as the legal process, we shall refrain from saying anything more.

We, however, take this instance to focus on the larger picture, the bigger underlying issues; we wish to reiterate our longstanding view that we, the ordinary people, the hundreds of millions of non-elite citizens (some of whom are indignantly protesting and crying hoarse now in the wake of the Calcutta incident), are part of the problem. The solution (for which protesters are pressing), therefore, lies within us, not outside of us.

Let us rewind a bit. There is a (misconceived) view that women empowerment can improve our society. We believe framing the social debate in the facile, predictable, ill-conceived, nauseating, intellectually repugnant or simplistic male-female gender binary is a wrong move. It is not as if putting women in positions of power, giving more powers to women, ensuring equal pay, equal jobs for women and all such moves will solve all of our problems. It is also wrong to hold men, all men, responsible for all the ills of our society.

Political parties have been / are led by powerful women; biggest financial institutions like banks have been / are led by women; market regulators have been / are headed by women. India’s Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the IMF’s first deputy managing director and its former chief economist Gita Gopinath posed for media pictures the other day. Scandals and crimes against women did not disappear or end because of women empowerment. In fact, it did not make any difference at all. Scandals, in fact, continued and involved powerful women in high positions.

But this message is not about gender, gender inequality, women empowerment, etc.

NRI-Natter’s argument for long has been that India’s problems are endemic and have to be uprooted, dealt with at the root level. As The Telegraph newspaper lamented, “the system is broken”. The system needs to be fixed. Band-Aid patches simply won’t do. Symptom reliefs won’t work; permanent cure is needed, and then prevention to pre-empt recurrence or relapse.

Sporadic venting, spontaneous protests, angry hartals, hunger strikes, shutdowns, etc, are all fine, but won’t solve anything. Nor will capital punishment, other extremely strict laws, tribal justice, vigilante activism, mob fury, hyperventilation on social media, extra-judicial killings of alleged culprits or the accused to pacify irate public.

In 2012, Nirbhaya case happened. In 2019, the Hyderabad-Shamshabad-Shadnagar case (Disha case) happened. In 2023, Giulia Cecchettin case happened in Italy, confirming this is a global malaise, not isolated to India alone. In 2024, Calcutta case happened. In between, and before, the trend emerged and continued. And will likely continue in spite of occasional reactive protests, until and unless systemic, grassroots-level solutions are found, debated, formed and implemented.

Kneejerk (over)reactions, reflex strikes that recoil at horrific crimes are going to be futile.

But those striking now for justice don't realize they are, in fact, enablers of the evil in our society. They are part of the problem. NRI-Natter has long sought to highlight the follies of India’s citizens, especially the hundreds of millions of moronic “middle class” or the salaried class who are utterly selfish, self-centric, with no investment whatsoever in the larger community and society. They don't even understand the role they ought to play proactively as active stakeholders in larger community/society (watch our video on the front page of this website or on YouTube).

-- If you (the ordinary citizen, the non-elite nagrik), don't play the role of active community stakeholder proactively;

-- If you outsource power and governance to thugs, corrupt fellows, sophisticated conmen;

-- If you comply with a broken system;

-- If you just mind your own 'business' (of eking out a selfish, self-centric life);

-- If your interface with community/society is just limited to paying tax(es), casting (or not casting) vote once in five years, participation in cultural/religious events or social gatherings like weddings, potlucks, picnics, and erupting in episodic, sporadic, impulsive or hyper-reactive, self-righteous outrage once in a while, if at all;

-- If you have no vision of how a good society should be like in this day and age;

-- If you have no global or world-class benchmarks and standards;

-- If you don't care for, nor have means to ensure, accountability, probity, transparency in public life …

... then, you have no right to expect Ram Rajya (Utopia), peace, security, crime-free society, fool-proof system.

And you have no moral right to criticize, strike, launch protests, shutdowns, or demand this, that and the other.

You are part of the problem. Ponder these seven important questions to awaken yourself.

You enable evil by complying with it, thus reinforcing and perpetuating it.

You, the protesting aam janta, are just letting your built-up steam out; you are merely recoiling at a shocking crime, fearful the next victim could well be you or your loved ones. Then, once the dust settles, you will get back to (your selfish, self-centric) life and you will predictably try to get on with it.

Just like Indians will forget Olympic female wrestler Vinesh Phogat and get on with life as if India never faced utter shame in Paris 2024.

In a sense, India’s shameful 71st position in Paris 2024 Olympics, shamelessly celebrating Vinesh's non-medal, gold-losing show, protesting Calcutta crime, Nirmala Sitaraman and Gita Gopinath posing for media pix, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee waxing eloquent, talking tough ... these are all symptoms of the same afflicted, sick society that India has become.

Now or never, do or die

SECTION I

June 2026: Not many among ordinary Indians realize this, but, truth to tell, our present is compromised and our collective future is in jeopardy.

To put it more bluntly, yes, our days are numbered! (For details, read SECTION III and watch the Bernie Sanders interview below.) And no, this is not "scare-mongering", fear-mongering, false alarm, some fanciful or nutty "conspiracy theory" and the like.

We are caught or trapped in a global trend that started after World World II in 1945, an era marked by hyper economic globalization that has been coasting on an evil variant of capitalism (which is now rampant even in so-called Communist and Socialist economies, theocracies, junta-ruled countries, dictatorships and monarchies).

No, religious fundamentalism, racism, etc, are not the real dangers. The flawed global system's means are fake democracy, false feminism and vulgar consumerism. All of these have disempowered and zombified the "masses" globally, a term that now encompasses even the middle class. The trend has reached a phase where the evil-minded elites have not just the intent but the power, technologies, capital and other means to eliminate "unwanted" burdens (non-elites) from the face of earth and appropriate the whole planet for themselves.

To safeguard our future, we urgently need to do, inter alia, TWO things:

1) Each and every educated middle-class/non-elite Indian must develop a clear overview of the system that entraps and enslaves us, that we are (or have been made) part of wittingly or unwittingly. Having some vague/abstract notion or concept of it in the head simply won't suffice. We need to understand the ecosystem inside out, its trajectory over the last few decades, its momentum and direction. By "ecosystem", we mean the combination of social, economic, cultural, religious, political, geographical, technological and psychological forces at work. These forces govern our lives and determine our thoughts, emotions, perceptions, choices, decisions and actions. We need to overcome our own apathy, indifference, ignorance, and selfish, self-centric and busy-busy lifestyles.

2) We need to urgently learn cooperation and collaboration, casting aside ego and other narrow considerations like age, gender, race, caste, community, profession, personal preferences, etc; we need to forge unity among ourselves. Again, this is not some idealistic wish, utopian desire or naive aspiration. Like it or not, this will determine our life and death, and our future and extinction.

Fear not. All is not lost. Yet. There is still a sliver of opportunity to take a U-turn from the cliff edge we have all reached without realizing or recognizing it. If you still have doubts, consider the lesson in the Mahabharata. Almost everyone, including ordinary people, got drawn into the fratricidal Pandava-Kaurava war at Kurukshetra and died eventually. Why did so many "innocent" people die? Well, when the society and ecosystem (of which they were all part) was deteriorating and evil was spreading all around, these "innocent" people did not proactively and actively resist evil. Instead, they all adopted "mind-your-own-business" attitude. Their stance was marked by selfish, self-centric approach to personal life and personal interests, and utter indifference, apathy and hands-off approach toward community, society, environment and Life itself. They did not take responsibility for the quality of their own society. They just stood on the sidelines and watched like dumb spectators, mute citizens. Not one raised his or her voice against atrocities, unjust actions, injustice, corruption, etc. They all paid a heavy price, the ultimate price, at Kurukshetra eventually.

Think. Ponder. Make up your mind. While living off community, society and environment, if you mind your own (selfish, self-centric) "business" all the time, even when evil is rampant, you will fall prey sooner or later. The lesson thereof is unmistakable too: until and unless we ordinary educated people (the working/salaried class, professionals, merchants, traders, retirees, home-makers, scholars, academics -- the intelligentsia) come together first and develop a vision of a better society, a better world that can set the standard for the rest of the world, and figure out a way of making such a vision reality ourselves through collective, united efforts, our days are numbered.
